Everyday Chicken Thighs

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb chicken thighs, raw
  • 15g oil
  • 10g apple cider vinegar
  • 20g tomato paste
  • 5g salt
  • 2g black pepper
  • 3g paprika
  • 2g chili powder
  • 3g onion powder
  • 4g garlic powder

Directions

  1. Add the oil, apple cider vinegar, tomato paste, salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, onion powder, and garlic powder to a bowl, and mix until combined. Add in chicken.
  2. Toss thoroughly until every piece of chicken is evenly coated.
  3. Let the chicken marinate at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat your broiler to high. Place the chicken on a parchment lined baking sheet, then place the sheet in the oven, positioning the pan so it is close enough to the broiler to brown well without touching the heating element.
  5. Broil the chicken for 6½–7 minutes per side, flipping halfway through.
  6. If cooking the chicken directly from the refrigerator, cook closer to 8–9 minutes per side. Use the same longer cooking time for particularly large/thick thighs.
  7. Cook until the thickest part reaches 160°F internally.
  8. Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
