Easy, Everyday Salmon

Everyday Salmon

Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon
  • 3g oil, sprayed
  • ~1g salt
  • ~1g black pepper
  • ~1g garlic powder

Directions

  1. Let the salmon sit at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes. Pat the salmon completely dry on both sides with paper towels. This helps the seasoning stick and encourages better browning. Place salmon on parchment lined baking sheet.
  2. Lightly spray both sides with oil.
  3. Season both sides with a light coating of salt, pepper, and garlic powder. You want enough seasoning to cover the surface without creating a thick crust. As a general guide, use more than ¼ tsp but less than ½ tsp of each seasoning, depending on the size of the piece. Don't over season the salmon, less is more.
  4. Place the salmon in an air fryer or convection oven.
  5. Cook at 400°F:
    • 10-11 minutes for thinner pieces, especially tail/end pieces
    • 15–17 minutes for thicker pieces over 1 inch
  6. Check the thickest part for doneness. Salmon should flake easily and reach your preferred internal temperature.
  7. Let rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.
