Strawberry Balsamic Oreo

Put one in the win column for Leo's experimental flavors!!! The compote is a bright, zesty, & has a tip of the tongue kind of sweetness. Because of this, it pairs perfectly with the sweet acidic balsamic glaze.
The Oreos are rich, creamy and chocolately which provide a perfect balance to the tart sweetness.
I added an additional Oreo as a mix in, but I didn't really get many "chunks." Still a banger of a flavor.
Ingredients
- Scoop of Levels vanilla whey protein powder
- 300g skim milk
- Strawberry compote
- 200g strawberries
- 10g lemon juice
- 20g sugar
- 10g balsamic glaze
- Skim milk to the max fill line (roughly 300g)
- 4 Oreos (3 for the base, 1 for mix ins)
- 5g balsamic glaze (in addition to the glaze in compote)
- 15-20g additional milk between spins
Directions
To a pan over low heat, add the strabwerries, lemon juice, balsamic glaze and sugar. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until thick, and has the consistency of jam. Let cool before adding to the Creami pint.
Add the strawberry compote, Oreos, and extra balsamic glaze to the pint container.
Add the protein and milk & mix until most of the protein is mixed into the milk. Don't worry about it being completely smooth, the blade will take care of the lumps when we make it.
Freeze for 12 hours minimum.
Spin on the Ice Cream setting, then run under hot water for 30 seconds. Using a spoon, make a hole to the bottom of the container, and add the additional milk.
Spin for a second time on Respin.
Enjoy!
