Zero Sugar Protein Cream Cheese Icing

This zero added sugar cream cheese icing is great on baked goods-- it's sweet, but since it only accents the baked good, there's not much of a cold or artificial aftertaste. It's thick, smooth, and has a decent amount of protein per serving. Using a blend of allulose and Swerve keeps it creamy (no grit), while whey and Greek yogurt adds structure and a slight protein boost. Perfect for cinnamon rolls, carrot cakes, or other baked goods.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz low fat cream cheese, softened
  • 30g allulose
  • 30g powdered Swerve
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 10g whey protein powder
  • 20g 0% Greek yogurt

Directions

  1. Beat cream cheese until completely smooth.
  2. Add allulose, Swerve, vanilla, and salt; mix until fluffy.
  3. Blend in whey and Greek yogurt until fully incorporated.
  4. Adjust thickness by chilling (thicker) or mixing longer (lighter).
