Healthy Cream Cheese Filled Bagel Bites (100 Calories Each)

We were headed back to the City and stopped at Dunkin' for coffee. Becca ordered some bagel bites, and a light bulb went off in my head, "I could make a healthier, equally good version of these!"
Low and behold, mine have less fat and carbohydrates, and more protein than the Dunks' variety.
These scratch that bagel itch perfectly. Each bite comes out crisp, warm, and perfectly chewy, with a melty pocket of cream cheese inside. They’re ideal for breakfast meal prep, post workout snacks, or tossing in the air fryer when you need something satisfying fast.
Let’s get to it.
Ingredients (Makes 12 Bites)
Bagel Dough
- 200g bread flour
- 200g 0% Greek yogurt
- 5g baking powder
- 2g salt
Filling
- 180g light cream cheese, 15g for each bite (I used a mix of regular and scallion cream cheese)
Directions
- Measure out 12 portions of cream cheese, place onto a parchment lined baking sheet and freeze.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the bread flour, greek yogurt, baking powder, and salt. Mix with a spatula until a clumpy dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 1–2 minutes with your hands until smooth. If it feels sticky, dust with a touch more flour.
- Roll the dough into a ball or log and cut into 12 equal pieces.
- Flatten each dough piece with your hand, or rolling pin, and place a cream cheese ball in the center. Fold the dough around it to seal completely, making sure there are no noticeable cracks. Roll gently into a ball.
- Brush lightly with egg wash and sprinkle with your preferred bagel seasoning on top.
- Convection bake or air fry at 350°F for 12 minutes if meal prepping or 15 minutes id having in the near future.
- Let them cool slightly to set the cream cheese, then dig in!
