Chocolate Power Balls

If you’re looking for a quick & healthy way to satisfy your chocolate craving, while sneaking in some protein and fiber — these Chocolate Power Balls will scratch that itch. They taste like a mix between a brownie bite and an energy ball, but with a macro-friendly twist (and most importantly don't taste too healthy).

The recipe is simple: one bowl, a few wholesome ingredients, and about ten minutes in the oven.

Ingredients

  • 175g unsweetened applesauce
  • 100g rolled oats, ground into flour
  • 15g quinoa flour (or finely ground quinoa)
  • 15g vanilla whey protein powder
  • 15g peanut butter powder
  • 15g maple syrup
  • 15g chia seeds
  • 15g cocoa powder
  • 3g salt
  • 4g vanilla extract
  • 30g chocolate chips
  • A splash of coffee (optional but deepens the chocolate flavor)

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together until a batter forms.
  3. Wet your hands slightly (this helps prevent the batter from sticking to your fingers), then roll the mixture into 14 evenly sized balls.
  4. Place them on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Let them cool for a few minutes — they’ll firm up as they rest.
  6. ENJOY!
