High Protein Creamy Dill Sauce

Who doesn't love a dill sauce over salmon or chicken? It's a great way, low effort way to elevate your proteins. This is an extremely quick, tasty and macro friendly sauce that absolutely delivers. You can make it with cottage cheese (like I did), or use plain greek yogurt.
Ingredients
- 50g lite cream cheese
- 60g skim milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
- 9g Dijon mustard
-
75g cottage cheese (whipped until smooth)
- Or non fat plain Greek yogurt
- Juice and zest of ½ lemon
- 5g fresh dill, chopped (or ~2g dried)
- Pinch of salt
Directions
- Blend the cottage cheese until completely smooth (this is key for texture).
- In a pan, add the cream cheese, skim milk, Dijon mustard, crushed garlic, lemon juice + zest, dill, and salt. Cook over a low heat.
- Constantly stir until fully combined and creamy. If you want it thinner, add a splash more milk.
- When smooth, take off the heat and let cool slightly. Add the whipped cottage cheese (or yogurt), and serve!
